Im looking for somebody who can help me with measurements of the width and the thickness of hte neck of a double bass with 5 strings. I found everything for 4 strings, but not for 5.

Des membres du forum maîtrisent ils suffisamment l'anglais pour proposer à Dieter de nous faire une petite présentation avec un petit bonjour, même genre familier ? Et puis traduire fidèlement sa demande.

Il cherche qq1 qui pourrait l'aider pour donner les mesures d'un manche de 5 cordes (largeur et épaisseur).

Could you tell us more, what is it for you need those informations? there is not one width or one thickness. It's a range... it depends of the instrument. And maybe a little presentation of yourself could be useful... here, on this forum, we try to keep the threads friendly and human, not only "ask and go".

Et je lui réponds que ça dépend, qu'il n'y a pas UNE taille. Donc je lui demande pourquoi il cherche ça. Et je lui suggère d'en dire plus sur lui pour garder un côté humain au forum, pas juste "je demande, j'me barre".
